Retreat #1

I just got back from a retreat in the Mountains of Mourne in a fishing villiage called Analong. It was tonnes of fun and I got to meet all the interns and students that I'l be spending the next ten months with. We played some really fun games, had amazing times of worship, and I had by first beer in an Irish pub! The place we were staying was right beside the harbour and was absolutly stunning. One night around 3:00am a few of us went down to the shore and the waves were so high that they were crashing over the 10 foot retaining wall. It was really cool. We got ontop of the wall and I thought I would be swept away a few times, but we all managed to survive.

My kitchen and bedroom

My Street

My House, my house, my lovely lady house...check it out

Okay, so I'm having some trouble getting pictures going here, so it looks like I can only get certain ones on, and I cant turn them the correct way. Anywaym this is the front of my house. I live in a neighbourhood that is staunchly protestant (sorry Rob) and there are union jacks flying around all over the place. My room has two beds in it for any visitors, hint hint, and I am only about 10mins away from the church and about 8 mins away from the airport.

Par-tay(s)

Hey everyone,
I just want to say thanks to everyone who came to/planned/contibuted to my going away parties this weekend. It ment alot to me that people cared enough to come by and say see ya later. Thank you for the gifts, I am truly blessed. God proves Himself many times over through the generosity of His people. I know I can rely completely on Him to meet my needs in this next year, a lesson I have had a hard time learning in the past. Anyway, thanks again. I had tonnes of fun and look forward to the coming home parties!

Now I'm attempting to download pictures

Ya, I figured it out. This is way the crap easier than myspace.

Okay, becuase myspace just wasnt working out...

Hello all,
Well I tried to create a blog thing on myspace in order to keep y'all updated while I'm away without needing to send out mass e-mails all the time. But I could not get the bloody thing to work properly for the life of me. Serioulsy, how hard is it to add a friend? I'll tell ya, its unreasonably hard.

So ya, the point, as stated above, of this niftly wee blog is so you guys can all take a gander at what I've been up to across the pond. That also means that when I e-mail you it'll just be intended for you personally instead of everyone. Horray, arn't you luck?
